Post-secondary Testing |
The SAT and ACT are college entrance exams designed to evaluate a student's academic potential and achievement. Typically, colleges and universities do not have a preference as to which test a student takes. Many schools will “super score.” This means the admissions panel is reviewing all testing attempts collectively. They will combine the highest math score with the highest verbal score, regardless of whether those results came from the same testing session. An admissions officer always looks for a student’s highest potential. |
The PSAT is offers students the opportunity to practice taking the SAT in October. All students in 10th grade take the PSAT, but 9th and 11th grade students also have the opportunity. For 11th grade students, PSAT scores are used to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. Learn More |
ACT Compass® offers test modules in the subject areas most frequently used by post-secondary institutions to evaluate the skill levels of their incoming students. The test includes: Placement tests that admissions personnel can use to place students in courses appropriate to their skill levels Diagnostics tests that faculty can use to identify specific subject areas where students may need help Demographics that advisors can use for a thorough understanding of students' support needs. learn more |
